Home Raised

Our Bengal kittens are raised in our home with our young children and their Mothers. The temperaments of our breeding stock along with our constant handling and socialization, done by both adults and children, helps ensure that our babies come to you prepared as much as possible to enter your life and homes. When getting a Lap Leopard Bengal kitten you can be assured of the quality in temperament, health and looks for your Bengal Cat. Lap Loving Bengals are our Brand Hallmark Specialty

While we can’t guarantee you the age we will release your kitten, especially if your kitten requires more time to mature, we make every effort to release your kitten(s) at the tender age of 9-11 weeks instead of 12 weeks like most breeders do. This is because we feel that at this vulnerable age they bond quicker and strongly to you and adjust better to their new home. Staying with the breeder any longer runs the risk of getting use to their litter-mates and the home environment of the breeder. If you want to better understand the benefits of releasing at 9-11 weeks and why we decided to do so, please check out our Blog entry that answers this: Why Release Kittens at 9-10 Weeks.

When Kittens Arrive

We love to share with you all the stages of development of our kittens as they grow. We spend much time taking videos of them periodically. Kittens will enter into an official "Claiming Stage" at approximately 5-6 weeks of age. At that time, we go down our Wait lists to get the kittens claimed.

Important Health Testing

We strongly believe in producing beautiful and healthy Bengals. All of our lines are heavily vetted and genetically tested. We use Optimal Selection to test for 40+ genetic diseases as well as genetic diversity. We have a closed cattery and all parents are NEGATIVE for  Feline Immunodeficiency Virus  (FIV) and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). We use Zoolgix to frequently screen for 6 respiratory & 9 digestive concerns, so that you can be assured that your Lap Leopard Bengal kitten is of the highest quality. We employ a stringent proven de-worming protocol and do in-house fecal float tests to ensure all kittens arrive parasite free. All kittens go home with free 30-days of Pet Insurance by Trupanion. All kittens come with a Veterinary Health Certificate and a Health Guarantee.

Waiting List

We are always in high demand due to our well-earned reputation. The only way to get one of our famous Lap Leopard kittens is to get onto our public wait list, which can be viewed on our Available Kittens page. To get onto our Wait list, visit our Buying Process page. There you can find the link for the Contract and to leave a deposit. If we didn't require a deposit, our wait list would be 100x longer.

Placement on our public waiting list is dependent on when your application and deposit is received. Our waiting list is separated into 3 types: Breeder Quality, Show Quality, and Pet Quality.
Estimated Wait Times:
The estimated wait time for your kitten is dependent upon many factors and is not easy to gauge. We offer many different colors (Brown, Silver, Mink, Lynx, Blue, Charcoal) and everyone is looking for something specific. Despite your placement on the wait list, you're not competing with everyone, just those ahead that are looking for the same thing you are. The broader your preferences, the sooner you may receive your kitten. Wait times can vary greatly for everyone depending on these many factors.

Why Buy a Lap Leopard Bengal

  1. Our breeding Bengals come from verifiable Champion Bengal lines which produce superior quality Bengal kittens with vivid markings
  2. The owner personally flew across the country to build her cattery by obtaining Bengals with complementing ancestry
  3. Only top quality high protein food is used when feeding our Bengal cats
  4. Expensive lab-grade antioxidant/vitamin/mineral supplements are used to insure optimal health and superior growth
  5. Battery of vet tests on the breeders guarantees superior health
  6. Genetic testing insures the breeders are free of all common hereditary concerns
  7. All Bengals including stud are underfoot in our home as part of our family and all kittens come hand socialized by my family and kids
  8. All kittens come with: TICA registered papers, documented pedigrees, a 2 year health guarantee, and lifetime support!
  9. We provide the second and third rounds of core vaccinations to be applied in the convenience of your own home intranasally. This all-inclusive worry-free convenience ensures our kittens receive their full round of vaccinations. We do not supply the Rabies vaccine, this must be done by your Vet.
  10. Bottom line: if you’re going to invest in a friend that will be around for 15-20 years, wouldn’t it be worth it to insure a quality pet that will retain their social temperament and health throughout their life with you??
