2. Pricing & Transport:
All pricing is regardless of color or gender and is locked onto the contract. If pricing changes, as our costs increases, your locked contract price will still be honored. Hence, it is better to join the wait list sooner rather than later. Click Kitten Pricing for further information.
We can deliver to all the states along the entire East Coast as well as all of New England by using a monthly group transport that travels from GA to Manchester, NH for a minimal $350 fee. Additionally, we have partnered with several flight nannies that can can personally deliver (in-cabin nanny) your kitten to your local airport for the cost of: $600-700. This is for those that can't fly to us.
We will transport several closely aged litters together when the youngest litter is 9 weeks old. The first vaccination is at 8 weeks and we want to ensure that no newly vaccinated kittens are further stressed by a transport. Therefor, the age of your kitten can be anywhere from 9-11 weeks old. While we make every effort to give you a young kitten, we can’t guarantee the age of your kitten, especially if it needs to be held back for additional development.
3. The Claiming Process:
The Available kittens page will always be updated on a regular basis to reflect when litters are born and when queens are breeding or confirmed pregnant and their due dates. Once the youngest litter in a combined group of litters turns 5-6 weeks old, it is deemed old enough to showcase personality and reliable quality indicators. YouTube Videos will be taken and uploaded to both the YouTube channel as well as the Available kittens page. At that point, we start the "Claiming Process" and will be working our way down the Wait Lists. Expect roughly a third of all the kittens being claimed to go towards each of the 3 Waiting Lists.
Please subscribe to our YouTube Channel for the latest updates. Names will be given to the kittens based upon a theme for identification purposes only. You can re-name your kitten.
How do we use the 3 separate wait lists and which list should you join?
1st pick wait list: is for anyone, Breeders and Pet buyers alike. If you join this list, you will be behind anyone else already on the 1st pick wait list and that's it. You will be ahead of anyone else joining the 1st pick as well as anyone else on 2nd or 3rd pick regardless of when you join. You will always be prioritized over 2nd and 3rd pick.
2nd pick wait list: If you join this list, you will be behind everyone already on 2nd pick, everyone already on 1st pick, AND anyone else that chooses to join 1st pick no matter when they join as they will always be ahead in priority. You will be ahead of anyone joining 2nd pick later and everyone already on 3rd pick. You will always be prioritized over 3rd pick.
3rd pick wait list: If you join this list, you will be behind everyone already on 1st and anyone joining 1st later, everyone already on 2nd and anyone joining 2nd later, and everyone already on 3rd. You will be ahead of anyone joining 3rd later. We breed the most browns and should have plenty for this wait list.
Please note, for purposes of streamlining the claiming process, that Lap Leopard Bengals will be contacting people according to their listed gender/color preferences (Desired kitten section on Contract). Please become familiar with all of our colors that we breed for and choose your preferences carefully as your wait time and whether we contact you regarding available kittens will all depend upon that. You can change your preferences at any time. The colors we breed for currently are: Brown, Silver, and Snows (Mink and Lynx) all in regular and charcoal versions. We can also breed for Melanistic/Panther, Smoke (Silver Melanistic/Panther), or Melanistic Lynx. To see examples of these colors, please view our Colors & Patterns page.
So how my process works is you give me your preference and if there are any available kittens that match your preference by the time I get to you on the list then I contact you. At that time, you get to pick out your kitten or choose to Skip.
4. Here's the scoop on SKIPPING:
You are allowed to voluntarily Skip what is available at the time I reach you on the list should you not like what you see or for any personal reasons (timing/vacations, moving, ect). Should you decide to Skip, you will not loose your place in line. Once the list becomes readjusted after all those ahead have been removed because they have already received their kittens, then you will move up the list. In this manner, everyone can get exactly what they want, it's just a matter of time and rising in the list to get more choosing power.
Also of note, should you take a gamble and decide to voluntarily skip on a current litter in hopes of a better outcome on a future litter then you have forfeited your rights to that litter. You will not have the ability to take away any claimed kittens from those underneath you on the list during the "Claiming Process" should the future litter be born and the outcome be not desirable. It is for these considerations that sometimes we hold off the start of the Claiming Process if another litter is Due relatively soon to minimize unpleasant gambles. However, we can't hold the process off forever and we feel it is unfair to take away claimed kittens by those that have voluntarily skipped.
You will be automatically skipped if:
a) there are no kittens available because they have all been claimed by those ahead
b) there are kittens available, but they don't match your listed preference
5. Preparing For Your Kitten:
Please read Kitten Care to prepare for your Bengal kitten's arrival. We also send out an email a week before pickup with lots of links for resources. When you arrive to pick up your kitten, please bring a carrier, a cooler with ice pack for your included intra-nasal vaccinations, and the remaining amount due in cash. No checks accepted for the final payment.
We use to reserve an hour when you picked up your kitten to go over basic Kitten Care Education. To Streamline the process and get you your kitten faster, we now have this 1 hour Pet Education tutorial available on video as part of our YouTube Education Series. This way, you can take advantage of our knowledge and recommendations all while in the comfort of your own home and have it for a refresher course. Prior to picking up your Bengal Kitten, please take the time to watch these 2 videos:

6. Your Kitten Comes With Free 30-day No-Obligation Pet Insurance:
During the first month a kitten goes home, so much can happen! The kitten has to endure some type of transport to get to their new home, which will add a variable amount of stress. This unavoidable stress then gets compounded by the fact that it needs to adjust to an entirely different home and without the benefit of being with its littermates. Then you can add that to the fact that all kittens under a year old have immature immune systems and are thus already more susceptible to opportunistic infections that love to take advantage of any extra stress.
These concerns are a major reason we send home all of our kittens with a Kitten Care Package that includes immunity-boosting supplement (NuVet) and a flea/dewormer combo (Revolution) to help combat the toll of this inevitable stress. However, we now also give all of our Buyers a Special Offer Code to use Trupanion's FREE 30-day no-obligation insurance offer. While there are many different Pet Insurance companies on the market, and all of them offer a wide array of benefits, we personally partnered with Trupanion. With trupanion.com, there is no waiting period and your kitten(s) is covered immediately. The best part of all, and this is really what beats the other companies, is that the first month is free and there is no obligation to continue after that!
**Exception: NY residents are required to pay for the first month**
With peace-of-mind immediate coverage at no cost for the first month, how can we not request our Buyers to use this?
Things that are covered, just to name a few, and can easily happen within the first month:
Vomiting | Diarrhea | Cough | Medications | Herbal therapy | Unexpected Surgeries | Hospital stays | Infections | Veterinary supplements | Congenital/Hereditary Conditions
What's NOT covered? Anything you'd expect: Routine Exams, Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, Preventative Care, Pre-existing conditions.
**Disclaimer: We receive absolutely no monetary benefit to requesting our Buyers to use the Free 30-day No-Obligation offer.
To even be able to partner with Trupanion, we were required to satisfy their strict requirements: including supplying health certificates with our kittens, doing health/genetic testing on our Breeders, and having an established positive veterinary record.**

7. Get Immunity-Boosting NuVet Supplement:
We are a big believer in Prevention, an ounce of it is worth any cure! Our more out-dated Kitten Care Lecture, found within our Educational Tutorial Series on Youtube, features many supplements that can be found on Revival.com. We still believe in many of their supplements but have found that the best type of supplement by far for kittens, especially in the first year of life, is to Boost their Immunity. This is because kittens (<12 months) and seniors (>10 years) have the weakest immune system, often resulting in illness and even death. We recently started using NuVet supplement within our cattery and have noticed a profound difference in the health and size of our kittens! The pelt is shiny, the eyes are clear and bright, and the energy is through the roof! What attracted us most to NuVet was the research!(Vaccine study that proved a stronger immune response when using NuVet) That and they really do stand behind their products with a 60 day love-it or your money-back guarantee! For the health of your kitten now and for life, I strongly encourage this invaluable Supplement! A sample is included complimentary in your Kitten Care Package! |
